NICK OVANESSOFF
Nick serves as CMO of CYC, overseeing the sales, marketing & PR efforts of the business, in addition to spearheading new business development by way of creating & implementing innovative growth strategies. Nick brings a unique blend of technical expertise and hospitality industry experience gained from years of management and advisory roles at several leading hotels of the world, as well as holding director & executive-level positions at multiple organizations including a successful enterprise technology company of which Nick was one of the founding members. In his role as CMO, Nick’s focus will be on driving brand recognition, customer engagement and ensuring sustainable growth of the CYC business & brand.

RIGEL BITTERMAN
Rigel serves as CEO of CYC, overseeing all aspects of the business. AS CEO, Rigel brings over 16 years of high-performance hospitality leadership & entrepreneurship to the CYC team. Having held National Director level positions with several independent luxury hotel & resort brands as well as with Kimpton Hotels, in addition to holding C-level executive positions with 3 different hospitality startups, including Lucky Find Hospitality - An industry-leading global consultancy & management group for unique hotel offerings. In his role as CEO, Rigel’s focus will be on championing the CYC vision & working with the CYC executive team + stakeholders to develop & manage strategy.

KAI MACDONALD
Kai serves as General Counsel and Chief Legal Officer to CYC, overseeing all legal, compliance and business matters. As General Counsel, Kai brings a wealth of experience across numerous practice areas, including real estate, business law, capital transactions, corporate governance, taxation and transactional law. In his role as both a legal and business advisor, Kai’s focus is devoted to developing solutions that support the company’s strategic growth and business objectives. Throughout his career, Kai has advised numerous early-stage companies from concept to capitalization.

David Loewenstein
David serves as the Director of Entitlements and Development for the CYC and leads the team in land acquisition due diligence. As a multi-state licensed Architect David has experience in designing and developing over 60 million dollars in new build creation around the country. In his preceding years, he has played a critical role as a founding member in multiple successful businesses, David currently serves as the Vice President in a leading Food & Beverage//Event company in San Diego and the Chief Operations Officer in a boutique Architecture Firm, RAD LAB who has been the recipient of multiple innovative design awards. David not only brings a keen eye towards design but leads his teams with a unique framework of operational management principles. David has been identified as the key element of success in his previous endeavors and brings that same passion and dedication to the development of CYC.

JASON GRAUTEN
Jason serves as the Chief Creative Director for CYC, overseeing Lead Design and the creative team specific to the architecture and development. Jason specializes in creating the architectural vision, program, and function in the design development phase. Jason currently serves as the Co-founder and managing partner of Quartyard, an award-winning urban park development. Jason is the Co-founder Chief Creative Officer of the award-winning architecture firm RAD LAB, which recently received Dwell magazine publication for Saltwater Farm boutique hotel.

Philip Auchettl
Philip Auchettl, AIA is an international award-winning San Diego-based architect and developer, licensed in California, Texas and Michigan. Auchettl is the CEO of the architecture firm RAD Lab, the President of Quartyard, a modular built event venue in downtown San Diego, and a Co-Founder of CYC.
Auchettl is responsible for providing expert advice to the CYC team on the sourcing and market analysis for land acquisition opportunities. With a broad range of land development experience, Auchettl works closely with engineers, planners, attorneys and municipal officials in order to evaluate land, purchase property, and re-zone such properties for development.
As the recent recipient of San Diego’s AIA Young Architect of The Year Award, Auchettl is considered one of San Diego’s most powerful leaders in social design.

PROJECT TYPE: CARGOTECTURE/URBAN PARK COMPLETION: 2015RAD LAB Adopted the challenge to momentarily occupy the city's vacant land with music, events, retail, restaurants, art galleries, and community-based uses transforming what was once an empty lot into a thriving urban park.
Quartyard remains in the neighborhood as a huge success for the San Diego community. This temporary project has operated and will continue to operate as the city’s very own backyard.

SALTWATER FARM
LOCATION: SAN JUAN ISLANDS | WA
PROJECT TYPE: HOSPITALITY
COMPLETION: 2019Sited on the pristine shoreline of Washington’s San Juan island – an island only accessible by sea or air – lies the recently completed Saltwater Farm at Friday Harbor, a stylish boutique hotel and rural retreat.
The project includes five small guest cabins and a two-story house for Andrew and Merriss, owners of the property and stewards of 162 wild and beautiful acres.

WANDER

COMPLETION: 2022Looking over to the JoshuaTree National Park, wander is the first shipping container hotel / airbnb to be developed in Joshua Tree, CA.
Utilizing over 60 shipping containers, the site has over 49 units with a central clubhouse with outdoor pool that views out to the mountains. Each room has its own private patio that frames various views of Joshua Tree. The anticipated completion date is in late 2022.
